This long-awaited CD transport in the Reference 500 Series employs a CD drive with a new design based on specifications we have used for professional products. Based on our original CD drive design used in the CD-5020A, which boasts a record for many years of use by professional products, we developed a new design optimized for the PD-505T. Utilizing semi-floating mounting and a new drive circuit design, we have realized CD readingthat is accurate and maintains a high level of purity.With support for 10MHz clock input, not only can this transport be used togetherwith a TEAC Reference 500 Series DAC, it can also be used flexibly to enablehigh-quality audio CD playback with a variety of digital playback systems.
